Robin Cobb Freeman, Associate
Robin Cobb Freeman received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1999 and her law degree from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2002. Mrs. Freeman is a member of the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice in all Alabama state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mrs. Freeman practices primarily in the areas of insurance and corporate defense, workers’ compensation, probate, wills and estate administration and appellate work.
While attending law school, Mrs. Freeman clerked with the City of Montgomery City Attorney’s Office under the tutelage of Howard Mandell. During her tenure with the City of Montgomery, Mrs. Freeman reviewed a multitude of claims which had been presented against the City and wrote many opinions in response thereto. Upon graduation from law school, she relocated to the Dothan area in 2003 and began her law career in March of 2003 with the former firm of Hall, Smith and Jones where she handled numerous cases involving personal injury, employment disputes and real estate transactions.
In 2006, Mrs. Freeman took a leave of absence to be with her children and during this time drafted numerous briefs in criminal and civil appeals cases. In August of 2007, Mrs. Freeman joined Shealy, Crum & Pike where she works as an Associate Attorney under the direction of Senior Partner, Steadman S. Shealy, Jr. Mrs. Freeman has a passion for writing and these writing skills have allowed her successfully to overturn several opinions at both the trial court and appellate levels.
